When is the state going to get serious about fish poaching? He stole that fish from all of us. It doesn't even state whether they punished this guy at all. His fishing privileges should be revoked for at least 3 years. Make sure he looses his job. Kick his children out of the public school system. None of this would have happened if SFW had transparency!

He released the fish Tri. I support the DWR not acknowledging the record because he didn't have a valid license. No difference that someone shooting a record book buck with a hunting license that has expired.

Elkassissin,

I'll break it down. Man get's busted, wasting a cow elk, expired license, no tag, four wheelin', illegal optics, closed season, etc, etc, just pic any one of these wildlife offenses on terra firma, and the DWR gives him a citation or a sentence. This isn't the problem. The problem is we all have to read for a week about how this will continue until the DWR finally get's tough on wildlife violators and gives them 20 year sentences and makes sure their kids are pushed out of the outdoors.

This guy screwed up and all he got was his name not mentioned in a record book. No fine. No sentence. And not a one of those same people who think deer poaching should be a capitol offense say a single word.
