LAST EDITED ON Aug-31-17 AT 12:31PM (MST)[p]This month we're giving away a Badlands Ultra Day Pack, thanks to the good folks at Bad Ass Outdoor Gear, our giveaway sponsor.
What do we all want to see? Cool pics! Scouting photos, success photos (even those from past years), buck and bull photos. Just fun stuff to look at.
I know some of you will have buck and bull success in September, so share that success. I'll also add them to the Big Buck and Big Bull contest.

At the end of the month (or about), I'll pick a winner based on which photo I think is the coolest, best, funnest to look at. Maybe it'll be a big bull elk one of you arrow, or maybe it'll be an old days photo of your grandma with a trophy ram. Or a monster muley from the high country. Obviously, they've all got to be of trophy western big game.

Please, share your photos! You can post the photos here in this thread or email them to me at [email protected]. Please accompany any photos with a little detail. And please, let's keep this thread about photos. No back and forth chit chat talk. We can do that in another thread. Cool?

Let's see some photos!

The September winner will receive a Badlands Ultra Day from our giveaway sponsor, Bad Ass Outdoor Gear. Please, when you're in the need of upgrading gear, shop Bad Ass Outdoor Gear and if they have a price you like, give them a chance to earn your business.

Cool shot! Look at that gun, big difference from today. Stacy Murray shared this pic of grandpa from back in the day in Oregon.

Jeff Taft writes, "Me, my brother and a buddy were lucky enough to draw 3 out of 5 tags for the late desert hunt in Washington. All tags filled opening weekend. All of us were kicking ourselves for not holding out a little longer, but I'd say they are all respectable bucks."
Here's a couple of the trophies.

LAST EDITED ON Sep-01-17 AT 11:26AM (MST)[p]Daughter's first big game animal...a dry cow from the Crow Reservation in Montana. Stalked from over a mile to 135 yards. Then two days later she got this non-typical antelope with a stalk to 160 yards. Couldn't be prouder of her!!

My daughters 2nd year hunting muledeer. Her 1st year she shot a 2x2 and girls at school made fun of her for shooting a small buck. For her 2nd year she had her heart set on going BIG or going home. Well she went BIG. She hunted hard for this buck. She never gave up. She kept pushing me to go just a little bit further. When the time came to make it count, she did just that. 425yards. Her persistence payed off. I'm very proud of her. It's going to be tough to top this one. But she already wants a full velvet mulie now.

Nicholas Palmese's 2016 UT archery buck. He was very thrilled to have his young son along on the hunt.

My buddy Cody was fortunate to draw a coveted Nevada archery elk tag this year. On the second day of the hunt we found this toad. Cody got to 50 yards with trees in between and no shot. The wind started to swirl, so he backed out.

That evening we went back in and found him again. Guides and glassers surrounded us on every knob out of nowhere. Next thing we know on of their glassers came up to us and said the Heritage tag holder ($100K) was about to shoot him with a rifle, so when you hear gun shots you know what's up. Never had a bigger sinking feeling in my life than when I heard the gun shots. Rumor has it that it scores 434 and 437 on their first two measurements of him. Any way you measure him up, it's an amazing free range, public land animal.

Counting it a blessing to have been able to film him from so close in 4K. Still a painful pill to swallow, especially for Cody :(
