So I've not needed to use my onX maps the last couple years due to tag drought but got 5 this year so need it. Went in to website and Noticed everything has changed. I can't really tell which subscription to buy, and the products. I previously owned three downloaded states which I'd like to update, no chips. And need to add two new states this year. I'm assuming the best would. E yo pay the $100 for full elite level stuff? Would that get me the burn delineation maps on my GPS? Both my AZ deer & elk units are 50% burned. I'd really like those identified. Thanks for any advice

Did they get bought out of something? Is that why so much has changed ? So many people have been so unhappy with them for the past months.

Zim, if you do the elite package, you can update your previous downloaded maps during that year the membership is active. What they did for me is they sent me out the sd card which aren't locked to a specific gps for both Utah and Wyoming. I had downloaded those several years earlier. I then registered those chips and with the elite membership you can update those whenever they do updates. Since the elite membership gives you all of the states for your phone, that is kind of nice. I just wish they weren't pushing the phone app so much as to me it has too many weaknesses. My phone battery won't last nearly as long as my handheld gps does, plus I can change those batteries.

K, let me be clear that I am not an OnX guru... but I do have a gps chip that is a couple years old for the state of Oregon... and I just bought Wyoming for mobile.... my first impressions: I can only find the burn and roadless layers on when I login on the computer, not my mobile. (This could easily be my fault, being new to their mobile app.) ... this makes me wonder if it could be downloaded to the chip? I would suggest calling them directly for the answer.... as for the complaints lately, I believe it's because they pushed this latest update right before hunting season... some of their loyal subscribers lost some data in the process and are rightfully upset... however, the research I've done on the topic has shown that the guys at OnX have done a great job in customer service and doing everything they can to restore data and make things right.... bottom line, most guys are critical of them for pushing this update so close to hunting season. Had the update rolled out around the beginning of the year, I don't think you'd be hearing the number of complaints.

Ok well then I'm SOL for my first hunt. I am here and it ends in a week. But I will try to have the chips mailed to a post office near my second hunt. I wish they had something about this on their website before I left. Unless I just could not find it.

I can't even get a prrdonal wifi hotspot anywhere near my first AZ hunt. Paying dearly for doing family favors all summer long. Zero Google scouting time at all.
