What is everyones opinion on these packs. Im looking into getting one and just curious what peoples experience with them are. How do they handle weight and loads?

LAST EDITED ON Sep-05-17 AT 00:14AM (MST)[p]I love mine and so do a few of my buddies!! Many pockets and buckles and attachment points.

I've been running the 3200 this season and it's worked well.

Stone glacier is another I'd like to try also. EXO is another to look at also.

Was ready to buy 3200 last year. My son and a buddy both picked them up last year and did not love them. I went with a Stone Glacier and Eberlestock and have been very happy.

I bought one earlier this year and have been training with it, it's the 5200 size. Time will tell how I like it. So far it's good but an upcoming hunt will be the real test. It's replacing an eberlestock I've had for almost 10 years. The eberlestock doesn't haul heavy loads well at all, it tends to sag (no load lifters like most other packs) and pull down and away from my back. So far the only things I dislike about the kuiu are 1) could use a little more padding on waist belt, and 2) it has the annoying squeak which is a well known issue. Good luck with your decision.

i love mine. i have the 1850 and the 5200. by far the most comfortable pack i have worn. i have packed elk with it and deer. it handles weights way better than badlands and eberlestock in my opinion. well worth the coin.

I switched from an Eberlestock J1 to the Icon Pro a few years ago. The Icon Pro does handle weight a lot better than the J1. As mentioned before the J1 tends to sag and pull down and away on your shoulders. I like the forward pull belt synching system of the Icon Pro. I truly miss the Eberlestock gun scabbard. IMO it's the most comfortable way to carry a gun on a long hike. Strapping it to the side of the Icon Pro works but it's not nearly as comfortable.

i have the 18,32,7200 bags. love em, use the 3200 the most. best packs ive tried for carrying a rifle or a bow out of the way when i commute on by dirt bike. comfy, carry loads great. carry the rifle in the middle on your back like the eberly if you want (instead of on the side). i had an eberly that weighed 9 lbs empty. deal breaker.

I have one of the smaller packs and it works. I wouldn't pay full MSRP for it. Find a used one on rokslide or archery talk. If looking to pay full retail might as well buy a mystery ranch or kifaru and get twice the pack.
