I've been backpacking out there twice this summer. Seen a lot of bulls in the steep and densely forested areas but no cows, not that I was really looking for them.
I stopped by the Elko DOW office a couple weeks ago and discussed my deer tag with one of the LEOs. He was very friendly and shared a lot of information on the population dynamics out there.
The notifications setup on this forum are pretty outdated. I'm not even sure how to find a list of the threads I've posted in to check for replies. I'm much more active on Rokslide due to that alone, unfortunately.
