How many of you guys tape or wrap your ankles for support during a hunt? What works best for you? Any other tricks that work to support or strengthen your ankles?

A BULLET TRAIN! The only other thing besides a good guy with a gun, that will stop a bad guy with a gun ;-)

Also if you tape/wrap it, and appply it wrong, your ankle will be more prone to injury.

I have trouble with rolling my ankles on flat ground, not to mention in the hills. I have thin neoprene lace up braces that you can buy from the local pharmacy. They work well in all my hiking boots and they save on blisters also. Better safe than sorry. Good luck.

I used to have real problems with twisting an ankle and getting shin splints. Turns out it was because all the tendons were too tight making them easy to pull and injure from rolling my ankle. Try these stretches and stuff. It will take literally months to see REAL improvements in mobility, but 10 minutes a morning or evening is a great investment in avoiding injury.

By the way it might hurt like hell for the first couple weeks. If the pain is sharp and lingers afterward back off and take a couple days for the ankle to recover.
