Waited out the last week of storms
And intended to spend the last 10 days of the season trying to get an arrow in a bull.
Was pretty excited to be hunting Elk during full rut in the snow.

Got a call that my father took a fall and was life flighted from Show low
To Phoenix and is in ICU.
Sittin' in Twin falls airport waiting on a plane to take me to Phoenix.

My pard sent me that pic, he sez
Them Elk are ruttin' to beat hell.

I got no regrets though, them Elk will be there next year, ain't so sure bout my pa though.
Hell, besides that I'll be spending the last
Week or so of Elk season hanging out with my dad.

Just spent the last 5 days in SW Montana, snow there. I'm back home in SE Idaho, snow here. I can see the Tetons from my house, snow in Wyoming.
Everybody's got snow.

Northern Kaliafornicated had a couple inches north of Susanville. 17 degrees on Friday morning. Deer didn't do much, just another day in the park.

Love that picture!

That alot more spots then I figured would have snow.
