I think I know the guilty party. :D He didn't take the SD card. The next picture was pointed up...

I think he swatted it. It was still attached to the tree with the strap. It looked like the sensor was cracked.

Not looking for sympathy, just thought it was a kool pic from public land mountains of Tennessee. :D
 
I put my cameras in a lock box. To protect them from guys like him. Haven?t had to many two legged critters on my cameras. But have had elk chew straps off trees and bears knock them down. That looks like a good bear.

New River district of the North Cumberland WMA. There is no bear season in that area though. I've seen tracks and scat, and one on cam last year. These pics are in the same place, within a day of the same date. Thinking it might be the same one, but no way to tell.
