I was talking with a friend of mine today and he told me about a 30-06 rifle that he and his dad lost in the koosheram Utah area opening day of the 2017 deer hunt, he told me how this rifle was given to his dad by his grandpa 25-30 years ago, they were down on some property that they own building a barn and they had put the rifle and ammo on the rear box of there UTV parked by the project when the daughter came out and took the UTV for a ride not knowing the gun and ammo was on the back of the bike, I was sick hearing this story, if anyone has heard anything or knows anything about this rifle, we would love to hear from you, thanks for looking at this post

I would check with the owner of the Kosharem store. They post lost things there and he may know or heard something.

Thx bigjohn, the daughter was actually headed to that store for a drink when the rifle was lost, they already let the store and local law enforcement know what had happened

A rifle is a pretty hard thing to lose if you know where you drove. That means that someone most likely picked up the gun between when it fell off and they started looking. If it wasn't turned in to law enforcement in that area, it probably won't turn up unfortunately. Good luck!

Another thing to remember, you need to have a copy of a description and the serial number of all your firearms. Technically law enforcement can't give it back unless you can prove it is yours. In a rural, small community area, that probably could be overlooked, but not everywhere. Today it is pretty easy to take a picture of the gun and serial number and keep a copy
