So i do a bunch of states, raffles, etc. What is your guys limit on a year? Mine is about 800 for all the states. Ok with not drawing.... just want one good one.

I don't want to count what I spend every year. I would probably cry and roll up in a big ball. I think that there are good and bad investments in points these days. A few people are spending without any real chance of drawing or a real understanding of the systems they are investing in. The right amount is the amount you can afford and puts you in the field often and before your health fails.

Yesterday I sent another 500 to AZ big game super raffle. Did you notice "another $500". LOL

I'm usually in for $100 - $200 a year on various raffles. Definitly not a deep pockets guy.

Seems way more non-residents draw in the AZ raffle than residents. Thank you to everyone that support AZ wildlife.

Man...i consider non refundable licenses in there too.
Nevada 150ish
Oregon 150ish
Utah 80 (every other)
Wyoming 40 point inly
Idaho 150 ish
South Dakota 20 point only

Plus 20 here, 40 there on a few raffles.

Then if i draw i have to scrape around for the tag, travel, etc $.

I buy tickets on several raffles each year. Mainly on species I wouldn't otherwise get to hunt. I only buy one ticket for each species as a rule. I did win the az goulds hunt with one ticket purchase. Come on desert sheep!

Living in Colorado I have no reason to go to another state. I know by now how to get the tags I want. I also don't bother with raffles.

I spend about $300 a year to hunt for elk, bear, and mule deer. Most of it is tags and gas. I don't need to camp anymore. I live where I hunt.

If I told you that hunters would start looking at it. I don't give info on where to hunt. I feel that's part of the hunt and hunters should do it themselves. I get annoyed by all these posts about "where should I hunt?" We all figured it out before the internet.

LAST EDITED ON Mar-18-18 AT 06:07PM (MST)[p]Ive never bought a raffle. I live in NM usually spend 750-800 on apps here. You don't draw they just keep $9 per app. Usually around $300-400 on my wife and son each as well

Dont have a set limit. I may dump a few thousand into moose raffle tickets this year, not sure yet. Only put $290 into raffle tickets so far this year. Last year i spent about $1600 on various raffles, ended up getting a whitetail raffle tag. I had a damn good time with it, and took a pretty nice buck. Lots of fun being able to hunt when / where / how nobody else can. Life is short, and you cant take your money with you when you die. ill keep buying raffle tickets.
