Our efforts are aimed at increasing and maintaining public hunting access in NW Colorado. I have been working hard on this now for about a month. On Monday, I got a much needed boost of support from our county commissioners. There is still lots to be done and for now access has been lost to over 10,000+ acres of private land.
My group is all about forming a partnership with land owners/managers and working to resolve issues that prevent them from allowing access. In Colorado, we only have around 300,000 leased acres for public hunting and fishing. Montana has over 7,000,000 WY over 1.3 million.
Our goal is to create a partnership model that can be duplicated statewide to increase hunting access.
