The Uintah Basin is the chit hole of the universe. So much crime there. One of my best friends was beat to death at his home there a couple weeks ago.

WOW, What Trash! Blatant disregard of the law. Nice work by law enforcement. I wish the courts had more tools to hand down more severe penalties. They have been F##k##g over legimate hunters by stealing game.

Just my opinion, and I'm sure others have their own.

Looks like the POS got some good penalties for his wildlife crimes but what's the penalty for a felon in possession of a gun?

Yeah Bess, I knew Bill very well. We would go shooting together and take rides in his corvette. I actually rented the same room as the guy who killed him, back when I drove for Savage out there. He was killed on a Friday and two days before that he sent me pictures of his brand new great-grandbaby. It's a shame what happened to him and I don't believe your Sheriff has released any details yet, unless I missed it.

He killed 2 trophy bulls(plus a bunch of others) and its a $17k fine?

Loss of hunting to a guy like this means zero, he killed 8 critters illegally.

Jail time is good, but that fine is less than market value by a mile, in fact I bet it barely covers wages of officers involved.

Charges seem pretty minor for what they did. Even the felon only got a little over 3 mo in jail and part of that was the poaching. I always thought a felon caught with a gun was a minimum of 2 years?
