So my father and i are doing a DIY hunt in the panhandle, section 1, of Idaho, and i'm looking for any help on a starting point to find some nice whitetails. We haven't hunted much in Idaho and really would like to not spend most of our hunting trip trying to find a starting point. We are coming from Vermont with high hopes of landing some good ones. Any help with some road names, or areas, or direction to go would be greatly appreciated.

haha everything up here is posted up tight and no one will let you hunt their land. So you end up on public land with a bunch of other people. Wont end up seeing much either. Pretty slow over this way. But if you go way north east there is some big woods, but still not much for action.
