My 13 y/o drew the youth any bull and the general deer any weapon. I'm stoked! This season is all about him! Can't wait to get him out scouting.
Will the rut be getting started during that season?

Most cows are bred last week of September first two weeks of October. Most does are bread first two weeks of November. The gather/chase phase begins two to three weeks prior to breeding. Congratulations and good luck to you and your son!

I think you missed what was said. The rut will be in the gathering chasing starting to breed phase during the youth hunt. I.e. Prime time for elk. The deer rut in November.
My two sons drew the youth any bull tag. Were getting excited already.
