Question of the Day ... If you only get to harvest one of the two here, which would it be? Buck or Bull? Or, neither?
Why?

Bull! Both have great racks but I like eating elk better than mulies. Now if there was no ?only one? stipulation both would be headed for living room wall and freezer!!

Bull without a 2nd thought. I love elk meat and pretty much don't like venison.

Racks don't mean squat to me. I give them away.

Buck for sure, the buck is a way better trophy to me than the bull if you happen to care about those things...plus I have elk bigger on the wall, but not a muley of that size. As others have mentioned I also prefer elk to deer for eating.

Bull.
I've been fortunate enough to take a couple nice bucks, but to much tag soup on a good bull...

Definitely the buck. A nice bull is fairly easy to get these days. A nice buck is getter harder and harder to take.

Buck! He's an old mature guy with a pot belly and sway back. Huge body and great rack that will probably score better than he looks from the side( if one cares about that).

For sure the bull would be better table fare in most cases though...

Buck for me. Mainly because I have been fortunate enough to take a six-point bull already, but I have never shot a 4x4 buck.

However, I do agree with those that mentioned elk meat being preferable over deer, but you can get that done with a cow tag.

I would shoot the bull based on antlers alone, simply because I've never taken a bull that big. If they were more than a few miles in I'd likely shoot the muley.
