Does anyone have any experience with these bipods? If so for hunting purposes and shooting in the field as opposed to at the range do you like the standard or the long version?

They are nice and really good but didn't quite seem worth the price. I also didn't like how you have to install that thing in your stock which commited you to exclusively using this bi-pod. Don?t get me wrong, they are bad ass but I decided to stick with the Harris

I'm with Barbarosa, for that cost and to have that attachment to your stock... Buy a Harris and don't look back...

Harris are great but they are heavy and I like how you can easily take the Javalin off and put it in your pack or pocket. I think it is a better backpacking system.

I have one. Probably the best there is for backpack hunting. They have 3 different attachments last time I looked and the one I use you don't have to install in your stock.

I use the long version. Also got the longer legs for coyote hunting and it takes about 1 minute for me to swap from the shorts to longs.
