Stolen Rack

My buddy got a rack that was on his gate in Wyoming stolen back in May. I'm surprised it lasted on his gate as long as it did. Still, thieves are worthless POS's.

I'd post a picture of it but posting pics on here is a pain in the a$$.

Anyone want to help me out and post the pic for me?

I noticed it was gone when I passed by on Sunday. A friend and I were wondering how long it would last before someone took it. We figured it was a fake.

Ahhh he put that rack on his gate? ??? it sucks that we would have to even worry about thieves but I would not have put that on any gate. That's just a invitation for low life thievery...
Sorry for your friend...

Seems like it lasted a long time, always glance over when driving bye and think what an awesome buck, looks even better up close in the picture. That's a shame, people are pathetic.

Yeah.. I blame the presenter more than the thief in this case. I mean c'mon. Might as well just put a sign up saying I have $5000 cash in my mailbox, please don't take it.

Sorry my bad. The stolen rack is a replica. The real rack is safe and sound. Field photos of the buck were posted here on MM back in 2010 or 2011 if anyone remembers back that far.

I feel a lot better knowing that. If someone hung that rack out in the sun for real, I'd steal the sob just to give it a good home....

bunch of low lifes who stole it and a bunch of low lifes who say they would. who the hell says it is the mans fault for hanging it up? honest men are not thieves. decide for yourself which you are.

Lighten up two point.... I was in LE for like 20 some years in some form or fashion and seen plenty of "honest men" when tempted..taxes adultery....bending wildlife laws....driving drunk...traffic laws...finding a $2000 dollar pair of binoc hanging on a fence at the trailhead... you ever take a pen from work or make a personal phone call on the bosses dime??? Give me a break...

BS! He doesn't need to lighten up because he was right on the money with his post. The "honest men" you mentioned weren't honest men from the get go if they did any of the crap you stated!

That's a sweet buck but I'd bet you'd have to put a 480 hot wire on that thing to keep it safe on a fence anywhere.

+100. Integrity is what you do when nobody is looking. And walking off with a pen from the bank is quite the metaphor to climbing a gate and hacking down a set of antler and speeding off in the dark.

+ 100..... it's not what you have ,it's how you got it

Back in the day a lot of ranches in SE Oregon and SW Idaho had (might still have) big mule deer racks hanging on fences, gates, and out buildings. Some would make your jaw drop. It never even crossed our mind to swipe one...lol

Shows me to use some nuanced sarcasm in a comment...parentheses these things " " changes the context......next time cool rack bad man steal...good man no steal

Just admit you screwed up in that post and move on, as "" didn't have anything to do with your getting dissed due to your comments!

Ive been driving by that thing for at least 5 years now.

Always amazed it was still there.

>Any idea how he got it

He didn't get it back. It was a replica of the original rack that he still has in his possession, but the replica on the fence is probably gone for good.

Even though it was a replica don't those still cost hundreds of dollars to have them made?

A lot of those old links have lost their pictures. I think it has to do with Photobucket.
