Solunar tables anyone?

Do ya ll find them to be pretty accurate in predicting deer movement? Other day said "best of the month": moon was setting as sun was rising, and thats when i saw a buck. Today with snow starting and rut comin on, i saw 25 does and no bucks. It was a major feeding time but only average rating for the day...
I like to look at the tables and try to be out there when they say it s supposed to be good... any thoughts?

No matter the weather no matter the moon I go hunt. I have never had an unsuccessful day outdoors. Some days are better than others that's for sure but no matter what I'd rather be out there staring through the glass.

I've killed deer when it's too dam hot. I've killed them when the moon was full. I've killed them when the wind was blowing so hard you dam near couldn't stand up. No matter what nature throws at you go hunt.

I too agree with what tristate said.

Especially when you have a 5 day hunt obtained through a public lottery system draw, moon phase doesn't mean squat.

I haven't tried it for hunting but I've found it to be pretty accurate for fishing here. Other local factors obviously come into play also though. Mostly if I get skunked I can blame it on the chart if it shows poor fishing and cuss the chart if it says good fishing. I would say it's about 75% accurate.

On my Henry Mt. hunt last year the guys who were spotting for me used the solunar chart to predict when a buck would stand up to re-bed in the late morning or early afternoon. The accuracy was uncanny. Time after time I was in on the bucks and they would stand up almost to the minute of what these guys predicted.

I would not believe it if I hadn't experienced it.

Other than that I have never really put much stock in the charts for the good days vs. bad days. It seems like the weather and approaching fronts creates more predictable activity than moon phases.

I know, i know, "go out when u can, every day in woods is great..." - just askin. I think they re pretty good indicators, but yeah sometimes the weather trumps all else. But deer behavior is crazy - they re often up when they re not SUPPOSED to be! I ll take a cold front/low pressure system any day!
Interesting experience about the guides predicting when deer would get out of bed! Thats what i m talkin about! Thanks for sharing.
