6 years of Elk hunting with the kids

LAST EDITED ON Dec-17-18 AT 02:36PM (MST)[p]I wanted to do something nice for my boys for Christmas. I decided to make a poster co-loge of the last six years of elk hunting. It started with the last two years then I would look at the next year and add it. I decided to stop with six.

Also this is my 1000 post on MM. I wanted to make it a nice post. I was going to show each picture by its self and tell the story, but no way I have enough time for that. I think I got to 500 in a couple months then it took me a few years to get the next 500.

The Elk are from Oregon, Idaho, Wyoming and Utah. As you can see from the pictures we are meat hunters. One Archery in there and the rest Riffle.

I love to sit and look at this poster and think about all of the great times we have had out there.

Love it!

Couple years ago decided to free the hunting/ fishing pics from the albums and cover the walls and doors in reloading room. I add more every year. I love to just sit in there surrounded by all those memories. Thsts what its all about!

Thanks everyone. I cooked the tenderloins from our last cow tonight. Tried something new. Turned out great.

Wrapped in onion and bacon with some pepper seasoning. Then in the smoker for an hour. In the oven on 170 for two more hours. Cranked to 410 for the finishing touches. Internal temp at 130 shut off the oven and left it sit in there for 30 minute. Internal temp made 150. Used the bacon juice to baste it a bit. I think it is my best.
