What do you all think of this punishment?

Part of this guys punishment for poaching was to watch Bambi every month while in jail. I wonder if the judge really believes that real deer are like Bambi? He probably believes in red nosed rain deer somewhere too.
It's good to see poachers getting slammed with punishment, the Bambi thing is just silly.

That Ain't Slammed considering the Damage He/they done for Years!

Does that Judge really Think the Poacher will learn anything from Bambi?

The Thing that Really Irritates me is when the Law Studies the Poachers for several more Years before they do anything with them!

They Knew this bunch of JOKERS were Guilty as early as 2015 & maybe earlier!

(((Let's watch them for a few more years & see what they do!)))

I've got a be honest that is cruel and unusual punishment. I hated that movie when I was a little kid. I couldn't imagine how much worse it is now that I'm grown.

51k won't cover the officers time. Hopefully someday we'll get serious about poachers. Probably won't be in our lifetime bobcat.

Guy is spending a year in jail. I'm not sure I've ever heard of a poacher getting that much jail time.

I say it's about time they start hammering these guys.

I tip my hat to the judge. I wish more were like him.

I agree it was great to see jail time. Ton's of poachers that have been caught walk away with a slap on the hand. The Bambi thing however is just a joke and a break from the doldrums of the cell.

I think the judge is more genius than you guys are giving him credit for. The time spent behind bars little boy Bambi is going to be renown for the exact opposite of a jail block bad boy. Coming from a state like MO I have a hard time thinking the jusge ordered it as part of an emotional therapy to cure his blood thirst. A year in the clink and 50 large is a pretty healthy punishment all things held in context.

It's not like he can just keep him in jail for life if the guy refuses. Second, even if it was, why would anyone care? What is it about a serial poacher having to watch Bambi that you would be against?

Tell me about a poacher that has received a more harsh punishment than a year in jail. There might be some out there, but I have not heard of them. This guy got what he had coming to him. I like it!

Agree with Vanilla. The jail time is a massive improvement to the status quo.

Perhaps community service picking up road kill would be better than bambi?
