Easter bunny will be coming soon. I got boys who could use 10x42 glass.

Any one running these? I'm a fan of vortex, plus they sponsor this forum.

Bass pro and midway had diamondback 10x42 s on sale for $109 or 125 or close to that a couple months ago. I think they re a little less bulky than crossfires? Cant remember difference. I use diamondbacks and they get the job done for a guy on a budget (me!).

Was recently thinking of purchasing a pair because I remembered that they were ?made in the USA? but was checking reviews and found out they are now made in china. ?That removed them from my list. Yes, they still may be a quality product but so is Leupold and they have always been made here. Every gun I own has a Leupold scope. Don?t own any binocs but imagine they are good too.

Just remember that binocs are an investment just like your gun and scope. $125 binocs are ok if you see something and want to find out what it is but if you use them any at dawn and dusk or for glassing out west, you will wish you spent at least $3-400. Big jump in quality at that price point. Kinda depends on their age. If these are kids just starting out then I could see buying cheap ones for now

But if they are young I would think about the 8x42s instead of 10x. Hard for kids to hold the 10x steady. Heck I elk hunt every year and 9 out of 10 times I use my 8x

My son has the 12x50 crossfires and he loves them. He looked through the diamondbacks but like these better.

LAST EDITED ON Feb-21-19 AT 07:25PM (MST)[p]My son has these 12x50s. In my honest opinion i don't think you can beat them for the price. I was impressed. I use mavens, i know good quality optics. Very good optic for a starter set. But like posted above you will see the difference early and late
