ya Bess the boys from out of state took a $hit load of elk tags.All the Dutton all the boulders and both moose tags again, that's 2 years in a row.

There's always a few celebrities that draw each year.

Randy Walk the president of Hoyt drew an elk tag this year.

If you figure there's 12,000 people putting in and 200 tags, that's close to 1 in 60 odds each year we'll see someone we know like that.

I thought that everyone knew they drew sheep tags on Saturday and most you had to be there to draw. Maybe we need to keep that under our hats a little. To cut down on the crowd. I know when they first started doing this. You could get a seat at any table. But the last few years it has been standing room only.

I'm a NR and I'll complain. First they make our odds worse by allowing us to apply for all species. Not saying this is all a bad thing. I am playing the game. I ask though, ?Why only Nonresidents?. Then after that they pull tags out of the draw for the Expo. Chances lowered again. Then they decide to add a middle Elk season and pull from the Early Rifle hunt. 14 tags to 11. That's 7 tags that used to go to max point holders now down to 5. With 18 points I currently hold, you bet your back end those extra 2 tags mean a lot to me. I have in the last 10 years seen my odds decrease significantly on 3 different occasions. They know what they are doing. Hunting has became prostituted. I feel bad for my kids and grandkids. They won't have a prayer to draw even an elk tag. It is what it is. I'll play the game. Too invested now with 47 total points in Utah for 5 species plus hunting license fees. I'm glad some Nonresidents drew some tags over there. They deserve some.

How do they know how many tags or even what tags to bring to the expo when final allocations haven't even been agreed upon yet for the year?
