I just got off the phone with a good friend. It looks like there was a pool of hunters who put their permit numbers in on time, but they were not put into the system. I called and talked to a lady in Wildlife Management, and sure enough she said she has received alot of calls from frustrated hunters who want some answers. My buddies has 2 friends who put in on time with confirmation numbers, but their wild id # doesn't show up when they do a search. I have no idea how the dept will deal with this. I am curious to see if there are any more horror stories out there.

I drew but they forgot to add my bonus points for turning it a poacher? they only reflected my old point totals so I called and left a message have not herd back yet I shure my message was one of hundreds

Yeah ya think they would have learned by now that alot of people are going to be in the system during the app period. Right after they opened up the app process & mine were not taking I called em & they said they were just upgrading the system. Wow perfect time for that with everyone submitting their draw choices. Now I wonder what's happening with the raffles? My tickets are not showing up. Check out the Lifetime license raffle results page. It hasn't been updated since Sept 05???????? WTF

Bob....that doesn't excuse them leaving out over 4000 apps.
C'mon, it can't be that difficult of a process! They F'd up the multi-season apps. just a month or so ago....now this! I like the fact the results came out a little early this year, but I'd rather what until the end of the month if thats what it takes to get it right. Will be interesting to see how they correct this.

This is not good, it will be interesting to see how the situation gets resolved. My first thought when they came out yesterday is i hoped they didn't jump the gun like they did with the multi-weapon drawing. Now it looks like the same problem.....

I just don't know what was their hurry in completing the draw when they had at least 2 weeks left to complete it. What do you tell a guy who submitted all their stuff on time only to find out they never made it in the system? I heard from the grapevine that when Jim Reick retired 2 years ago, there was going to be a big mess in the permit dept because nobody fully understood that job. He was serving part time as a consultant, but that may not have been enough. The bottom line is somebody in the dept needs to step up and take some responsibility for some shawdy performance in this dept, and address what they are going to do for the dudes that got the shaft. I am a supporter of the game dept, but this needs to be addressed asap and fixed for future draws.

I wasn't saying it was an excuse for leaving applications out of the drawing. I was just pointing out that this is a new system this year and some little glitches are to be expected. We don't know that 4000 applications were left out. That was the number given due to the computer problems on the day of the deadline, but hopefully they would have gotten most of those applicants back in the system before they did the actual drawing. Sounds like there were a few that they didn't catch. It will be interesting to see what is done. The only fair solution would be to redo the entire drawing, I suppose. But then my dad wouldn't get the moose tag he drew.

If they truely left people out I almost guarantee they will redraw. They did it with the multiple season permits earlier this year, too bad for some of us and good for others.

Reminds me of a couple years ago when they issued me two different WILD ID's. Took a while to sort out. A re draw would be cool....

I would think if they were going to redraw they would take the results offline, thats what they did with the multiseason tags, they came offline very quickly, within a few hours if I remember correctly. Perhaps the draw will stand.
How did you guys hear of a problem with the multi-season permit draw? I never heard about anything. I originally drew the elk, then a few weeks later got a letter saying I drew the deer as well. I assumed the deer permit was just one that another person had drawn but then didn't purchase, just as I didn't purchase my elk permit.

With the elk there was a thread on this board somewhere, some guy drew both, then he went and checked again and the results were gone, after phone calls to the dept. the story came out and they did a redraw.
ok...somehow I missed that. All I knew is I ended up with both the deer and the elk, but didn't purchase either one. Just don't have the spare cash right now, all I wanted was the points, but of course I now have zero points on the multi weapon permits.
