LAST EDITED ON May-30-10 AT 10:04PM (MST)[p]OK folks, the Hunt Adventure Challenge is a go. Let's do it!!!

I posted this in the General Hunting forum, but here are some details about the MonsterMuleys.com Hunt Adventure Challenge. Plus, I will post more about this to this thread as things progress. I hope you all both enjoy and get involved with this. Hoping it'll be fun and entertaining.
NOTE: This forum is fully-moderated, meaning that stuff that is posted will not immediately be visible. It ALL has to be approved. And, only owners of threads can reply to their own threads. All else will be removed.

-------------------------------------------------
Outdoorsmans (http://www.outdoorsmans.com) is putting up some gear for winners and MonsterMuleys.com/MonsterHuntClips.com will put up some cold hard cash for winners.
So, help me out here, can you think of any rules that I need to think about? (((Reply in the General Hunting Forum)))

What I'm thinking is the following;
1 - I'll setup a Hunt Adventure Challenge Forum
2 - Each of us who want to share our 2010 adventures, can create a thread and post photos, video, stories, etc. Just tell about our 2010 pre-season prep, scouting trips, hunts, etc.
3 - If you have kids, set them up a seperate thread to share their video, photos, etc.
4 - If your thread grows really huge, then create a new thread and post a link to the other one in both threads. Lots of photos could cause it to load slow, and I'm hoping you all share LOTS of photos and videos.
5 - I have created a channel at MonsterHuntClips.com call "2010 Hunt Adventure Challenge". When you upload clips there, be sure to place the clips in that channel so that they can be viewed easily for visitors to that site. And of course, post links to your clips in your thread.
6 - The forum I create will be fully moderated, meaning I or a moderator will have to approve everything. We're doing that because the only person that will be allowed to post to a thread is the user who created the thread. All other posts to the threads will not be allowed. So, for example, I will be the ONLY one to post to the "Founder's 2010 Hunting Adventures" thread. We're doing that so that the threads don't get riddled with questions and chit-chat. Questions and stuff can be posted in other forums.
7 - At the end of the year, we'll pick winners. Users of the site, myself, and moderators will decide on winners based on which threads are most exciting, packed with video and photos, with the best animals, etc. Whether you're going guided this year or DIY, share your adventures with us all....from beginning to end. Tell us about your pre-season training, scouting, shooting exercises and practices, a little about each day of your hunts, photos, some video, some live game if possible, and hopefully some harvested game. It's possible for someone who comes up emptied-hand altogether this year to win. It's about the whole package!
8 - Be sure to only create one thread per user, unless as I stated, your thread becomes huge with lots of pics and such.

I haven't decided exact prizes yet. But was thinking we should have 3 places, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. What do you all think?

Will you guys share your adventures with us all if you might win a $1000.00 valued 1st place prize package?

PS - I need a couple folks to help moderate the Hunt Adventure Challenge forum. Basically, make sure that was is submitted gets approved or denied so that posts aren't sitting in the que too long. Any volunteers????

As you all will probably see, I have added counters to each Hunt Adventure Challenge thread. I have to do this manually, so bare with me. I will get the counters added as fast as I can.
If you don't get a counter within the first day or two, shoot me an email. If it becomes too much for me to keep up with, I might not be able to do it.

BearCat suggested it and I thought it would be a good idea since replies to posts are not allowed.

AWESOME UPDATE!!!!!

The 1st place prize package will now include a Fully Guided Wyoming Trophy Mule Deer Hunt. The hunt is being offered by Big Country Outfitters. I, Founder, will be guiding you. Not sure if that excites you or not, but I can tell you, I will try hard to find a big buck.

The contest winner will have the choice to hunt archery or rifle. The hunt will take place in 2011 or 2012, depending on when you draw the tag. It will take a Region H tag to go on the hunt.

MonsterMuleys.com will pay for the special draw deer application. So, it'll be the guided hunt plus tag. Our contest winner should draw in 2011 because odds are not too tough in the "special" pool as first choice. However, if they do not, they should almost certainly draw in 2012 with a point.

NOTE: If you're doing the Hunt Adventure Challenge here and are really serious and giving it your all in hopes of winning, then this summer, it would be worth it for you to purchase a Wyoming deer point so that if you do WIN, you will have a point going into the draw in 2011. Word of advice.

So that's it. Total prize value is now at about $5000.00 total. I have not set exact prizes for each place yet, but will soon. Was hoping to maybe get another company to sponsor the contest.

If there's any archery, muzzleloader, etc. companies out there looking to put your product in front of thousands of eyes and help make this a great contest, email me. Donate some goodies and we'll help you out
