The International Union of Conservation of Nature (IUCN) has now declared the Western black rhino as officially being extinct.
The IUCN has also declared the Northern white rhino as possibly being extinct.

I guess I am not very smart. It says they are extinct but that there are some in zoos but none in the wild. I thought extinct meant there were "zero" anywhere?
