LAST EDITED ON Feb-07-12 AT 06:02PM (MST)[p]I killed a large male chacma baboon in Namibia a couple years ago. I had the PH bleach the skull for me so I could keep it. However, there was some kind of paperwork issue and they didn't ship it to me with my other trophies. My Dad will be over there this fall and I want to see if there is any way he can bring it back to me. Does anybody know what he would need to do bring a baboon skull back with him? Would it be easier to put it on his license this time around and have them ship it back with the other trophies he collects on this trip? Any experiences or ideas? Thanks.

There is no such thing as a sure thing in trophy mule deer hunting.

In 2010 I too shot a big male Baboon in Namibia and it came in through Portland customs with all my other trophies. No special treatment or permits, it just showed up like everything else.

I shot a Baboon in Mozambique in 2005 and there was special paper work / permit that went through the Center for Disease Control in Atlanta. It is something that my P.H. knew about and I'm sure yours will too.
