I was just talking with paul pennie this morning. He's the guy who does my taxidermy work in utah and does a dang good job. Well I just informed him of my wifes intent to take a large croc this july and he informed me that he may not do it as he would have to do a lot of research in order to ensure its done to the quality i've come to expect from him. So this being said I am looking for a taxidermist with experience in mounting a crocodile. I will most likely have it mounted attacking another animal but I'm unsure of the exact scene right now. All I am wanting to do is to find out who would be a good choice to go with that will do me an excellent job on a full body mount croc.

UUUUUHHHHHHHHHHHH yeah whats up with that kevinp? woody says your bout the best there is. Oh wait, i forgot. Once you kill a 400 bull you are above mounting animals for stinky huh? lol

I will also check out the life form taxi in RSA but I haven't had too much luck with my african taxidermy in the past and am definitely a bit leery of those guys. Besides her crocs gonna require a 25foot crate and thats gonna be a bit pricy. lol

I've seen a few crocodiles mounted by Dean Schulte at High Uintahs Taxidermy in Coalville, Utah. He does all my African work.

I actually talked with his wife at the sci vegas show. They appeared to do good work on a lot of animals but their leopards weren't that great. I'm sure crocs are much easier as they don't have as many facial features but I judge a taxi based on his cat work. I also checked out that south africans website and no offense but those cats faces were really bad. I'm leaning right now towards kevinp as woody knows what the difference between good and bad is but as of know that worthless prick aint talkin.

HaHa!...Stink, just saw your post!...Been over setting up my 400 BC Bull for the Banquet tonight in Logan...

I don't know, them "Crocs" can be alot of work!...Almost as much as mounting that 400 Bull....I can see why Paul may be aprehensive about taking that job on....I do know that Ray Hatfield does alot of African...multi, species pieces.

thaks kev, i knew you would take that job and do it perfect. 3 grand sounds reasonable to. Your a standup guy!

Hey Tony...I'll have to check my price list again...$3k...hmmm That is sounding kinda Low!..

Check out wes good at wildlife studios.com does amazing work and when i dropped off my sons elk think he had a croc there being done.Does alot of cats and african game like rhino and elphants to.Maybe to far as he is in Pa. near me.

Woodruff thanks for stealing KevinP's donation last night. I am cruising along on his donation and at the very end you sneak in and take it from me. Good on you.

Kevin's bull and base are amazing especially in a room like that by itself. Kevin, great job, top notch stuff. Huge bull and everything about it was awesome

Ha ha... I wasn't sure I got it. I put that last bid
down and left. When I went back to check, the
list was gone.

As great of a bull as Kevin's is (size and character),
the taxi work is equally impressive. The scenery, positioning
is top notch! It's truly a work of art!

Ha-Ha!....I wasn't anticipating a "Bidding War"...Too Bad "Stinky" wasn't there to get in on the action!

Thanks for all the nice comment Guys on my Elk Mount!....It was a long day and turned into a very long night by the time I got him loaded and back home...

Anyhow! Congrats Woodruff! on winning that Bid....

BTW Little Joe, there maybe another opportunity at the RMEF Banquet in April!...Good Luck!

KP

When is the RMEF banquet? I have not heard a word about it. I have been thinking of going to Utah SCI in SLC but not sure if I can make it or not.

Little Joe, the RMEF is scheduled for April 14 at the Marriot/
"Rivers Edge" in Logan.

I'm not too sure how you can get tickets....They did have an Advertisement in the HJ in Fridays paper....If I hear more, I'll let you know!

Little Joe....you can contact Warren Hullinger at [email protected] or his # is 435-881-2817 for ticket info for the RMEF banquet to be held on April 14....He said he has some tickets still available...

Why not try Imperial in Santa Fe? They have done several Crocs, and are currently working on a 12ft gator with a wild hog in its mouth.

Thanks KevinP! I will contact them and see what they have going on. Hopefully they can raise some money from it.

Now your elk is done and out of the way I can start getting after you about my Africa stuff.

Animal Artistry in Reno does a very good job with crocs. They've also possibly mounted more of them than any other taxidermist, I'm guessing.

animal artistry is the one i was trying to remember as they did most os the sci vegas work. i will give them and the guy in santa fe a call. btw what did u by woody?
