LAST EDITED ON Mar-18-12 AT 09:17PM (MST)[p]Myself, along with "KevinP" will be in Salt Lake this Saturday attending the SCI banquet. We are helping out a friend I hunted with in South Africa this summer. He is offering some great hunt packages for this event.

The Outfitter is Motshwere Safaris in the Limpopo region of South Africa. This is truly an excellent value for those wanting to experince Africa.

They operate (own and/or lease) 250,000 acres of concessions.

Here is a link to my hunt experince:

Now, what is amazing about this deal is that Motshwere is allowing your wife or children to stay for free. There are no daily rates for your children and/or spouse!

Here are the available dates:

17-30 Oct 2014

You can PM me if you have any questions. I will not post this on any other website. If you are considering a trip to Africa, you would be hard pressed (IMO) to find a better value.

Thanks for looking!

Hey Woodruff....you may also want to mention some of the details of the Hunt that Werner is Donating and will be auctioned at the Banquet!....Looks like it's an Outstanding package!

Here is was he is donating (Motshwere Safaris):

4 hunters 4 observers

14 days

2-Wildebeest, 2-Gemsbok, 2-Impala, 2- Warthog, 1-Blesbock, 1-Eland.

Limpopo Region of South Africa. Available dates are 2012, and 2013.

2X1 PH

Its a great opportunity to bid on an amazing hunt. And,I can guarantee you that you will have opportunities on all of these animals!

Get 4 people to go in on it and then most likely two of them will flake out and you can go 1x1 and each shoot more animals. Originally for my first trip there were 6, then 4, then 2 of us actually got on the plane.

I sure hope the 4 go. Although the hunt will be donated, I would hope that the hunters would at least consider hunting additional animals and show appreciation for the donated hunt.

Then, its a win-win situation for SCI, the Outfitter, and the hunters.

But, time will tell. I am really looking forward to going as a large group next time. I really enjoyed going with my wife on the first safari, but am also looking forward to having my friends and family for the second....

LAST EDITED ON Mar-22-12 AT 08:05PM (MST)[p]Yeah...I figured we should kill a bunch of animals on that trip....should keep be busy for a while...

Talked to a couple guys today that are interested in the Donated hunt, said they will be there to bid...they sounded pretty sold on Werner's operation, since they talked with him at the expo...and were pretty impressed!

No way those guys only shoot the donated animals. It gets in the blood and hard not to shoot a trohy when it is standing in front of you.

So much goes into the planning for a trip like this and it is 1000% worth it.

Now that was a Great time at the SCI banquet last night!...one of the best Functions I have attended for a very long time!

The Auction hunts were going cheap...I couldn't help myself and bought a 8 day New Zealand hunt for Tahr and chamois!

Also, won a Gun and a few other nice items...Overall, I was really impressed with the whole show...

Already looking forward to next years event!

BTW...Motswhere Safari's donated hunt was the top money earner for the night!

Man, last night was a busy night. I had five seperate auctions going on the phone at the same time. I was gonna do a phone bid with you guys on that tag for my uncle and his wife before they die but I had a beaver early rifle tag, dutton premium tag, dutton early rifle tag, navajo nation special elk tag in window rock, navajo nation special elk tag in phoenix, and a navajo nation deer tag in phoenix. I was about to buy the dutton premium, navajo nation elk and deer tags when my wife stopped me dead in my tracks. She said, and i quote, "Imagine how many more animals we can kill in africa with that money". So I let all the utah elk tags go and picked up only the navjo elk and deer tag.

Cant you people spread out those auctions just a little?

It was a great night. We got to meet some great people. Yes there were a lot of trips that went dirt cheap. i wish I was prepared to head out again so soon. Well be back next year.,.

Tony, well said. I still send in for everything around here and play the draw game but at the end of the day Africa is where it is all at for me.

I found out who purchased this hunt and he paid 4k for it I was told.

I know he has been to Africa many times and will go many more. He will shoot a bunch while he is there.

LAST EDITED ON Mar-31-12 AT 05:26PM (MST)[p]It was $5500...It was the high auction item of the night...I know who it was too.
