The Eland is one of the animals that I did not get on my trip but my hunting companion did. I was in pursuit of a big Kudu bull and ran across a very black faced Eland bull that was a trophy but my PH had Kudu, Kudu, Kudu on the mind and I did as well and get kept going and did get the Kudu but I never got another chance at an Eland. Hopefully next time. They remind me of a Brahma Bull with horns.

Very nice littlejoe.

Funny how South African gun laws are so strict yet silencers are pretty common huh ?

This poor thing could hardly get around from tick damage and had to be put down.

And finally the Bull I took in 2008.

I was told at least 100 times it is not a "silencer". Silencer's are illegal. It is a "suppressor" which is legal. Made me laugh and still makes me laugh.

Our guns and clothes were lost for 8 of 10 hunting days so my buddy was using his PH's gun.

Wonderful eland. Those massive horns are something to behold. I love tracking eland and getting the drop on them, as you never know if your trek will be 5 minutes or 5 miles!
