Another 1st buck!

Here are a couple of pics of Juniors 1st buck. A good friend of mine wanted to get his boys interested in hunting and asked if I would help him and his boys apply for tags and teach them how to hunt. I have been putting Junior and his brother in for youth tags the past 3 years with no luck until this year when they finally drew.

We got a late start on Friday morning as I didn't get off of work until 4am that morning. We finally were on the mountain by 9am and started seeing deer right away. We passed on a handful of smaller bucks then we glassed this buck bedded at 600 yards. After a quick look through the spotter Junior felt like this was the buck he wanted to try for. We snuck within 268 yards and after getting his first dose of buck fever somewhat under control Junior made a perfect shot through the bucks neck.
