Seeing the kids in action can be really motivating. Thanks Founder. I mentioned this years ago and am excited to see it.

My daughter is 6 and is hooked on shooting her Chipmunk. Went grouse hunting a couple times and I notice she is left eye dominant. I'm hoping it's an easy fix but will gladly take pointers. We are antelope hunting this weekend. Wish us luck.

GREAT pictures Zigga!!!

My little girl saw a pink .22 in the gun store years ago and always wanted one. Never ended-up buying it for her, but she's 13 now and pretty handy with the .308! ;-)

The pics of your little one with that rifle brings back great memories! Thanks for sharing!

PS: I agree, kudos to Founder. I think this will now be my favorite forum on this site!

When she shoots with a scope later on, the eye dominance will be much less significant. Using open sights, I would encourage you to teach to shoot left handed. It will make a real difference in her sight window and accuracy. Ideally, encourage her to shoot both right and left handed and she will be prepared for what ever she needs down the road.

I am left eye dominant and shoot a left handed bow. My rifles are all right handed, but when I shoot open sights, I still shoot left handed. It isn't really that uncomfortable and if you have her do it regularly, it will be natural either way.

I got the same one for my daughter a few years ago for her Birthday--you can not go wrong. I actually B-dazled it a bit for her and put rinestones on the stock and forearm--she thought it was prett sweet!

I noticed my daughter did the same thing as your with the left eye, but for her it was just not knowing so I worked with her a bit and now she is much better.

She just shot a 410 and was hitting clay targets out of the air on her first couple of trys and was about 50/50.

She wants me to paint it LIME GREEN now as that is her favorite color....

Enjoy!

WE NEED PICKS OF THE BEDAZZLED .22, seriously. I love the pics of the kids, but the little girls with their pink and purple camo, and now the pink guns I think is fun, my 2 year old was rocking one of Kings pink camo dresses, and I HOPE she will want a pink gun, and as into sparkly as she is, a bedazzled gun will be the ticket I bet!!
