My first Big Buck

LAST EDITED ON Nov-02-13 AT 12:48PM (MST)[p]To give you guys some background, I'm from CA and we have blacktail deer where I hunt, so I'm use to hiking couple miles in to get a nice forky or 3x3 if I'm lucky. Some friends invited me to go out of state for mule deer and this is the buck I filled my tag with last morning of the general season. I was getting worried because I didn't see much the whole week but I stuck through it and waited and I was fortunate he came out. Definitely a trophy of a lifetime for me. He is 29 1/4" wide and 21" tall. What do you guys think?

As you just found out, Blacktail hunting is a fantastic thing and nice to be able to do in our own State but getting away and going after those big ol Muleys, IMO, takes it to a whole another level!

Congrats on your Buck, a Dandy to be proud of and one probably going to be tuff to better. Not many can say they got a better one than yours on their first outa State trip!!
