Just got back from a high country mule deer hunt. I went solo on this hunt, hiking in 6 miles into the high alpine basins. I was able to kill this nice buck at 180 yards on the opening evening.
After shooting, he rolled and slid down the steep hillside about 200 yards. Finally, he came to a rest and I was able to catch up and pull him onto more level ground. Fun hunt, but physically draining.....looking forward to next year already!

Nice. What was your gun set up?

I could never do solo. My mind just won't let me. Looks like a great time tho.

Nice one bigbrink!! You bringing him with ya when you come home in a couple weeks?

Nice work Brad! That's an awesome buck, I should be drawing a NR tag up there next year and plan to do it backcountry style. We have hunted up there in the past and it's always a good time.

Good for you! Fun stuff! You did very well.
