Well, after the drying period my buck was officially scored. ND is not known for its monster mule deer like out west but we have some good bucks. His score doesn't matter to me as much as the actual 3 year quest for him but its just fun to know.

He gross scored 196 2/8 typical (3 2/8" nontypical point not added in)
Net scored 188 3/8"
49" of mass!

His net score ranks him #2 in the State of North Dakota with archery equipment.

3 years ago I found him after my tag was filled. Last year was a failed attempt to harvest him.

I mean ya....let him grow..ha

Wow- #2 in the state..?? That is an amazing accomplishment... While a 188" net score might not necessarily seem giant (it is to me), given that there has only ever been one deer bigger than yours ever killed with archery equipment- that is a huge statement as to the rarity of your buck... What an amazing story and trophy..!!
