Saw this buck at first light this morning on the approach to the Mount of the Holy Cross summit for Solar Eclipse viewing.

That's Way Better than looking at an Eclipse!

Back Me Off to 1,700 Yards,650 is a Little Close & I'm Not Comfortable with it!

A GUT SHOT at 1,700 Yards will Still Make Some Good BRAGGIN Rights so I Can Say I At Least Hit Him!

So tall and deep forks! If I had a tag for the area, I would probably offer you the moon (or a solar eclipse) for info!

One of the first bucks I've seen that looks bigger from the front then the back

Looks like a really good buck heavy and tall but can't see much for front forks from that view. Big buck regardless. Thanks for posting.

Man, that's my kind of buck! I love those deep back forks, so cool! Thanks for sharing. What unit will he migrate down to?

Have a unit 44 4th season tag, hoping just to see a deer of this caliber yet alone have a chance. Getting old so my standards might shoot something smaller before I see a guy like this.

Beautiful buck

Huh? What am I missing. I know some people who started hunting last Saturday? and big game book says opens 26th in Holy Cross units?? But yep, I would take him with any legal method!
