Hey all,
I am a Minnesota resident, looking at coming out to do my first trip for MT mule deer hunting. A buddy of mine and I are looking at coming out about mid November until Thanksgiving, after the MN deer season. We have been to MT a few times, just not deer hunting. As a little background, we are both experienced deer hunters, campers, hikers etc., just haven't done the MT mule deer hunting.
After looking at some maps and general information we are looking at focusing our hunting around the 417, 426, 680, and 621 along the river breaks. I am not looking for exact locations to hunt or GPS coordinates, just some general information if people are willing to share their experiences. Looking for information like if that area gets hit pretty hard all year, if we should expect a lot of people that time of year, deer herd situations, things to bring, any info on one of those zones (positive or negative), and/or any pictures to get us jacked up about going.
Thanks in advance for any information you are willing to share, much appreciated. D&B
