I was out there scouting for the upcoming Smokepole season and in 4 days, I only saw (2) guys with Archery tackle. Hardly seen any early morning or late evening travel on the roads. Where are you boys?? Maybe I am looking in the wrong areas. haha. I am just curious if anyone is having success. It was Hot!! Close to a full moon too. The deer were sleepy early and didnt come out until almost dark. Did manage to turn up a handful of nice bucks though.
3 more weeks!!

probably had to do with where you were and the days that you were out there. So where were you that you didnt see any road travel??

I was out there on Saturday and Monday, lots of people camping, not successful yet! I guess if you seen a few good ones you are in the right area!

Been out there a few times, only found one big shooter so far. This heat does keep them down until dark ,but strange as it is I saw him up at 2pm. That happens a lot with bigger ones in my experience. I have a rifle tag for this year. Only took 13 years to get lol! cant wait for the hunt. good luck man
