He's about done at 73 he don't get around very good luckily we have found him bucks close to the road his last 5 hunting trips, if we were in the hills which is what we tried for the first 4 days on this hunt he can't get more then 200 yards off the road in the steep stuff. We have just got lucky by being patient knowing his limitations.

Cool looking buck. Congrats. My dad turned 70 and it is getting harder for him each year. He loves it so much so it is hard to hear him say ?this my be my last year.? He has said that for a couple years and we keep getting him out there.

Dude, you have those bucks in the lowlands down! Tremendous buck. I'm sure Pops was quite happy with him.

Nice work I hope I'm still doing that stuff at 73. Congrats to your dad.

we we're at 200 yards from the buck in this pic,my dad has a bad back so he could only sit up for a few minuets at a time while we waited for the buck to get up.Every few minuets he'd tell me how it was killing him sitting up so he would lean back into me.Well after the 10th time or so he got a little to comfortable and fell asleep in my lap, when the snoring got to loud I gave him a slap and told him to keep quiet.

The buck eventually got up but sat back down real quick in a spot where I could finally see the rack good, then we moved in another 100 yards and waited for another hour plus for him to get up his final time and as my dad said this has to be some kind of record for me and I said what, sitting for so long waiting to get a shot.Hes use to just bubling through the woods looking for deer not the spot and stalk in open country.

That's funny sh!t. He got real comfy and started snoozing--at this point in your lives, the roles are reversed. Nap time!
