I love hunting my home state but when it's over, I sure do get withdrawals seeing everyone else?s pictures and stories from other states.

Sure is nice to live through and dream/think about their hunts.

Not sure what my hang up is going somewhere else, I have time and resources to do so. Anyone need a hunting buddy? LOL

thanks for posting throughout the year!

I hunt my state (ca) and 1 or 2 other states every year to the reasonable extent of my time and recourses. In the end I go through withdrawals when it's over because it's 100 mph June and July scouting, then aug sept archery season, and into November rifle season. All of a sudden the leaves are fallen and the days are shortened and the holidays are upon us. Going from 100 mph back down to coasting is hard. Luckily my wife and kids love wild game and I can reminisce with friends, family, and here.

Take up bird hunting. You can hunt for 5 months. The past few days were pretty insane. Mallards Mallards and more Mallards and a few Pennies too.

LAST EDITED ON Dec-04-17 AT 10:20AM (MST)[p]I'm not really fishing for info, just posting to say it's nice to live though everyone else?s success in other states. I love
seeing all the photos and stories, big or small, they are all nice.

I am from Kansas and would like to hunt anywhere there are giant mule deer! Just like everyone else. LOL

I do hunt other things but there is definitely nothing better for me than a big ol? muley.

I did a lot of scouting and hunting this year and I have withdrawal issues too. You'd think after being out there for 70 days in the last 5 months that I'd have my fill, but I'm ready to get out again. My issue is just being stuck in the house. I'd much rather be standing in the cold, after hiking 4,000 vertical feet, looking for a big buck.
I just get all this energy built up and have to burn it.

Crazy how much we love hunting, like most years I started looking in July was able to take 3 deer and 1 elk this year all in different states. I was burnt out from driving and hunting too I thought, made it one weekend was back up helping a friend with a late archery tag.
