Mules and Moon phases?

ok so I decided to pass on Colorado rifle hunt and go with my true passion an PL archery hunt in Utah. Outfitter is pretty open on dates, so Moon phases is what I'm looking at..full, after full to new moon? I personally think the full moon would not be the best, were talking end of August beginning September. any thoughts?

I don't think it matters all that much. I would not plan my hunt around it.

Get ready for change because it's going to happen!

Research shows activity is related to moon phase, but it's not the only influence. Weather and hunting pressure also affects behavior. For Mulies I pay attention to lunar tables, but I still hunt morning and evenings when the tables show other times as being better.

I like to plan mule deer hunts as close to the 2nd full moon after the Fall Equinox, but it's not a deal killer if the only season is at another time.

LAST EDITED ON Jan-11-18 AT 02:01PM (MST)[p]ya in this situation it's a early September or late August archery hunt on privite land..No hunting pressure to speak of..hunting blinds and stands over corn and alfalfa fields. was just curious about the moon phase thing as I do have some date options. Thanks

While considering those dates you may also want to ponder velvet vs. hard horn. Your dates, at least in Utah are right on the border of Muley bucks shedding their velvet. So if you are set on a fluffy trophy, go with the earlier dates.

EASY with the Mules!

They Don't look that Bad Strapped to the Front Bumper as Long as they're on a Rig with KALI Plates!:D

thanks for the responses, any other input would be helpful and appreciated. Had not thought about the velvet..im good either way.
