LAST EDITED ON Apr-18-18 AT 11:30AM (MST)[p]A couple of friends and I are planning a fall rifle hunt for muleys in the eaglecaps, we are planning on going up through bear creek a couple miles. Any tips or tricks on how to hunt the eaglecaps for deer would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Pray for good weather and no fog - and you will want to go in more than a couple miles. Beautiful country that's for sure but the deer hunting is tough in there.

So?

I Know Nothing about the Eagle Caps other than I've Flown over them!

Pristine looking Country!

Just wondering why there Ain't many Muleys back in there?

It Ain't Easy being Me!:D:D:D

i would also buy a bear and cougar tag. probably a better chance of filling those then tagging a decent muley.
too much predation, horrible management and just general difficulties throughout the west when it comes to mule deer.

same reason there is few mule deer anywhere in oregon except on managed private land

because the lion population has been uncontrolled since 1994
