Hey everyone,

I'm new to the sight but am on many of the other forums but I'm looking for some advice on the Book Cliffs area. I drew the archery tag this year and intend to hunt the first 10 days of the season. I'm looking for advice on areas worth taking a look at and the quality of deer that exist. I've hunted many units and states out west and always love sharing information with other hunters so I'll put a list of states and units I've hunted in the past on this post. Feel free to PM me if you are looking for any info on the areas I've hunted in the past.Colorado unit 40 elk and deer, NM 36 elk, Wyoming elk 39 and 23, Nevada 161 deer, Utah Manti elk, Idaho Lemhi elk.

LAST EDITED ON May-19-18 AT 08:00AM (MST)[p]I will also be there for the archery. I will keep in touch with what we find. My wife and dad drew so we won't be hiking real hard. So the bigger bucks see that are tough to get to I would be more than willing to share that info with you. PM me and we can talk. I also have 6 deer points for Colorado 40, so I might ask for a little help there.

Hey there I will send you a p.m. We hunted the Book Cliffs last year. I also have hunted Colorado unit 40 a couple times and will draw it again this year if I have any luck. I would love to talk to you about your experience there. I will p.m. you my phone number.

I hunted the Book cliff archery tag in 2015 seen a lot of bucks, the bigger bucks were definitely in the roadless country. Killed a 180+ buck but I definitely earned him. Hunted the flume canyon wilderness hiked in seen several bucks over 180, one over 200 inches. But the big ones were definitely a long ways from the road.
