So ND finally made big moves and allows a person to buy a bonus pount without applying! After talking to the ND game and fish yesterday they told me that a bonus points for deer will cost a nonresident a nonrefundable $255... Woof buzz.

No. I believe it's only one point a year just like the other western states. ND also only has a 1% allocation of tags for NR, so it's pretty tough to draw even a whitetail rifle tag. I'm too vested now to quite playing the game!

North dakota is the worst state as far non residents go. They are greedy. Even in State You better know somebody with land or good luck finding a place to hunt. And your not gonna draw the badlands either,,,,,,,,,BULL!

WA is tougher on NR. Especially for deee and elk pts. Youbhave to buy the ridiculously priced tag (non refundable) first.

Basically looking at over 1k for pts in two species.

You can put in for a hard to get tag like 4C mule deer or a unit that has no chance for a nonresident to draw. The game and fish will refund your whole amount and you get a point. Some units only have 2-3 nonresident tags before they consider the non resident gratis. This means that there ends up being no tags for the ?lottery?. Means you're getting a point and a refund. You beat the system.
