Idaho Unit 69 - Late Hunt for Antlered Deer

There are some good ones there. A little research would show how good.

Watch where the serious trophy hunters are for the ES opener 5 days before yours in Oct. Then wait until Nov. 10th, and hunt every day until the end.

Thanks, we have already been out doing our homework on the area. I'm pretty excited about the opportunities in this area. Was just wondering if people had some pictures of the bucks taken from this area.

I hunted unit 69 last year, my first mule deer hunt ever. I had a Bull Elk and General Deer Tag, A lot of country to cover and saw a couple nice bucks taken but overall the winter prior to last year was rough is what I heard from most local, also locals are a really decent with advice just not going to tell you their honey holes. I saw 23 does and 3 small bucks, wish I would of shot the second one he was a decent 2 X 2, sounds small but his rack was actually about as tall as a decent whitetail here in Missouri. I will be back out there this October for general rifle with my 12 year old daughter. Key things I learned about this unit, need to get far from road, wear good boots and pack food, no vehicles off main road, and spot a lot. Nothing like whitetail hunting in Missouri.
