Saskatchewan Scouting - 2018

Just a few pictures from some recent scouting trips. Harvest is way ahead of schedule here due to limited moisture so the deer are moving around a lot more then normal for this period. My target bucks are still being elusive with just some distant sightings but I still have hope.

From July 27 - I have seen him a few times since but have not had a good look to see how much more growth he put on.

From Aug 16 - This buck makes the top of my list right now.

I stumbled upon this real nice typical on the 31st (eve of the archery opener for those with draw tags) bedded in a canola field. I unfortunately have to wait until the 15th to use my over the counter tag so I am hoping this guy is still around.
