Unit 14 Mule Deer Question

I just found out last week that I was lucky and pulled a unit 14 landowner tag. I have hunted up there off and on for several years for whitetail and have seen some good muleys but now get a chance to hunt them. I have hunted mule deer a lot over the past 30 years but not in unit 14. My friends place is way up Slate Creek, and that is where I plan to focus on but thought I'd see if anyone on here could offer up any advice. Thanks, Nathan

Can you hunt anywhere in the unit? I'm assuming so, if so I'd hunt where you're talking and anywhere along the Southern border of the unit. I think you'll have to gain some elevation from the road.

It is good for the unit which is mainly why I posted the question. I havent hunted the area outside my buddy?s property and was wondering if a guy could better focus on other areas

If he has a good size piece of ground in slate creek I'd hunt there.

Alright. Thanks for the advice. She owns a section, and I've seen some really good bucks in there years ago. Hunted whitetail there 2 years back and didn't see much for Muleys.
