Thanks all. He will definitely be taking up a good chunk of my wall space come next year. I probably wouldn't have got this deer if it wasn't for my wife spotting as I shot. So it is as much her buck as it is mine, and she expects the mount to be front and center when you walk in the door.
This is a region G deer of course. This area hasn't been getting crowded as of yet, and I hope it stays that way.
As for the "Scope Bite", it was pretty inevitable. 20% incline on the shot, and I'm laying on a flat surface. Butt of the gun was on the ground, stock was on a backpack and a coat. I knew it was bound to happen but couldn't get sturdy otherwise. Well worth it.
