Getting excited and will be there early to scout. Any tips or ideas appreciated. I am hoping to here from 3rd rifle tag holders when their season starts and progresses.

Very rare tag and lots of points and I plan to make the best of it.

Good luck. I will be across the border from you on 4th. If I kick any big boys across to your side I'll let you know. Looking like we might get a few snow storms before the hunt. ??

Good luck to you! I've hunted it during 3rd in the past. Fun hunt! I know 2 guys that have the 3rd season hunt. Shoot me a pm and I can fill you in on how they do.

My current situation precludes me from caring about your opinion but go ahead and give voice to it anyway...

Huge drought... Huge snow... huge meltdown...

That about sums it up so far. pretty safe bet the high country will be empty based on how it looks now.

Saw a few 180's while moose scouting, but you are probably after something big.
