My 2018 bow buck.

He's my best scoring buck with any weapon! Isn't the monster I was after but I'm very happy with him. I did make a marginal hit and ended up leaving him overnight and walking grids and checking every pocket and brush patch around. He only went about 100 yards but hid up well and I walked a few miles looking for him. He rough scores 179, my wife beat me with her 186 1/4 buck. It's been a banner year for us and archery hunting muleys!

Are you serious? Thats why im sick of this site. People shoot 130-140? deer on the reg and then try to pass it off as a 180? deer.

I suppose you catch 40lb rainbows in strawberry as well????

I have to agree with the other dude the 179 buck looks more like 160

Bigger buck does look like it touches 180

My big 3, left 170, middle 179, right 165.

His mass makes his tines look short and his fronts look crabby because they don't spread out. Him laying on the ground in front of me I said 170 maybe but was pleasantly surprised putting a tape to him.

Just out of curiosity and to make sure ive been scoring my own deer the right way I notice on your score there are 21 measurements added but on a typical 4x4 mule deer with brow tines arent there only 19 measurements?

Could be that there are a couple of sticker (abnormal) points not clearly visible that account for the extra numbers in the gross score.

Yes there's 2 tines right at his bases an inch long, the cheater up top isn't quite an inch so I didn't count it.

Thanks everyone we had a great year and didn't think we were going to because we both only had the one tag. Now we're off on to birds and coyotes, the pheasant numbers are way down so I almost feel bad shooting them but I've killed 3 coyotes so far and haven't really even started yet.
