Founders Colorado Deer Hunt 2018

Was just curious how the founders (Brian?s) Colorado Mule Deer hunt was this year. I enjoy watching his videos, he's really killed some big deer, always passing on some big bucks waiting for the giant. Have to respect that, not every hunter can honestly do that.

He couldn't get it done over there this year. He's probably lost it.

I need to get my video added. My son and I went over there and spent 9 days hunting hard. Conditions were great and we saw lots of bucks and a few good ones that would've been great for the boy. He missed a couple of bucks, passed on many others. I didn't see any real big ones that got me super excited though.

Of all the things that are negatively affecting the Wyoming deer herds, I'd say founder-Brian is not one of them.

Randy newburg has drawings for and pays for guys to hunt all the time.

Everyone who hunts with him has to wear Sitka clothing, look through Leupolds, and shoot a howa.

LAST EDITED ON Nov-20-18 AT 12:05PM (MST)[p]I agree this is crazy and there are more important things that the Wy G&G should be focused on, but.....if I was sitting with a lot of points and Randy or Brian or whomever asked me to split points with them and we were not friends and had never met and we went hunting together (as sort of "payment" for splitting those points) I could see how someone could interpret that as outfitting as both Brian and Randy probably receive some sort of "financial gain" from shooting a buck or trying to shoot a buck and gaining advertising money...I understand it is a slippery slope, but when you advertise it on a website and make money off of that website one could argue a connection.

If this is such a big deal, then WY G&F should just get rid of splitting points. I am not in favor of this as I split points with friends and family often.

Enjoyed your video with your boy in Colorado this year. My most fond memories of hunting are with my Dad when I was a young kid. I've been lucky enough to harvest some nice bucks but those memories don't top going with my Dad as a kid. On a lot of those hunts years ago we didn't kill a buck but still are my most fond memories with him. Now he's getting older and I have two young boys, don't get me wrong a 30 inch plus with trash, mass , ect is pretty dam cool but doesn't hold a candle to being able to experience the hunt with my Dad and in the future my boys.
